About Me
My name is Ryan Carlson. I’m the Principal Engineer over vertical markets at Control4. I cut my teeth as a Windows developer doing C++, COM, and ATL. About 7 years ago I made the transition to C# and .NET technologies. Today I do a mix of C, C++, C#, Lua, Ruby, ActionScript, Java, and Groovy (all at Control4).
In the fall of 2008 I got my first Mac, and have enjoyed every minute of it. During the day I get to play with all sorts of cool technologies and on nights and weekends I program in Objective-C for the iPhone.
When I have the time, I am an avid fisherman and dream of the day when I can spend more time on the water than I do in front of a computer.
